Welcome to the Andrew J. Brown Academy website. The purpose of this webpage is to provide parents, students, and our school community with easy access to a wealth of information on our Andrew J. Brown Academy programs, policies, and activities.
AJB Academy is a great place to teach and learn! Our teachers are committed to a high-quality learning experience focused on the individual needs of each child. My vision for Andrew J. Brown Academy is to provide students with an educational experience that inspires and motivates them to be lifelong learners and caring contributors to the world around them. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student, both academically and socially. |

This school year, we will place our efforts to improve student achievement. Accelerating student achievement is our priority, and our teachers and support staff have been diligently working to prepare for your children! In addition, we are constantly reflecting and refining our instructional practices to be the best we can for each one of our students, and to ensure all students are college and career ready. We are also committed to ensuring all students are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to promote creativity, character, citizenship, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.
I am a graduate of Lane College with a dual Bachelor’s degree in education and psychology. I received my Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and educational specialist’s degree in instructional leadership from Freed-Hardeman University. I have a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in district leadership and the Superintendency from Capella University. This is my 30th year in education. I have served in various teaching and leadership roles in traditional district, charter, and alternative school settings, with vast experience in school turnaround.
I am proud and passionate about the scholars and community we serve and the educational experiences we provide. I look forward to serving the Andrew J. Brown Academy school community and am hopeful that this website provides you with relevant, timely, and useful information about the many exciting programs and events we offer. Go, Brown Bears!
